The International Haskell Family Society is really a group of International friends. Members year after year return to Haskell country from the USA, Australia and New Zealand to search out their roots and meet up again with their cousins. Here are some stories of their adventures.

Mervin Stevens (USA Committee member) and daughter Beth Shelton made a short visit to the Haskell Cemetery, China, Maine, USA, September, 23,2006. Except for several plots the graves are all Haskells.

Mervin Stevens came over from the USA to the UK to attend the Annual Reunion in June 2005. We had never met but we had often emailed one another. When we heard he was coming over we arranged to meet him at the airport. Although he is a very distant cousin we instantly recognised each other. We met again for the reunion after which we went to Woodlands church yard and found the grave of Janet's Great Grand parents, then on to a restaurant in Verwood for dinner.  After returning Mervin to his hotel in Salisbury and made our farewells we knew we had made a new friend.

During the 2005 reunion we met Susan and Ray Haskell, from Australia. They had come to the UK to visit friends and family. Susan and Ray have built up a comprehensive family tree but there were gaps to be filled. As they were here for a few weeks we invited them to visit us at home. As they were Australian we thought a BBQ would make them feel at home and we also invited 3 generations of Haskells. The weather was marvellous (courtesy of Susan and Ray) and there was lots of looking through old photographs and discussion.
